I wasn't able to catch this live so I'm interesting in hearing about the experience. Based on my corporate job (disclosure: webcasting used for webinars), I could see some pros and cons of this.

May need to touch base with Chris and get a scoop on this and see if this is something we would recommend...

If you'd like to catch Jason's IABC Twitter session, Shawn "Smorty" Morton caught it on Qik here: http://qik.com/smorty71 I believe it's currently the second "Untitled" Qik.

Now, I have to be off to the mall to pick up a pretzel and a smoothie. Darn you subliminal commenters!

David - I do plan on jumping in on future ones. Thanks for doing them. Very cool idea.

Joe - Agreed on the mix of mediums to have a strong presence. And IABC is a lot further along than PRSA. Gotta start somewhere, though.

Ross - It kinda already has. And yes, I think they're mostly dumb, too. But what the hey.

Chris - Surely there's a mall bar somewhere between here and Bahhhston.

Not to be too silly here, but I can't help and wonder if all these Twitter integrations with Twitter-ish names will create a new form of twitter-speak -- a vernacular where everything starts with the phoneme "Twi...."
Twittastic!
Twreally?
Twould you like to buy a Towel?

Hey Jason, looks like you have your hands full given that The International Association of Business Communicators don't yet know what things like Twitter, RSS, blogs, etc are; but at the same time it's a great opportunity.

Like always, I think really good examples that illustrate the power of new social tools like Twitter will help your audience relate.

Compare a case of more traditional communication, PR/marketing campaign to quick, short blasts through Twitter.

I think a strong Twitter presence backed by a great blog, product page, company site, is a great combination.

Good luck and have fun

Hey there Jason. Thanks for spreading the good word on the Twebinar series. Really wish you could be joining us. Good luck with the Bootcamp and hopefully you'll be able to join in on the Twitter discussion on the next two Twebinars this summer.

Cheers. David
