I actually like the new design and I don't know why people are negative about this change, the new design has helped me become more productive in connecting imo.

I like the concrete steps here. Social media can be an abstract world, but this post offers a plan and an ability to measure action.

Very useful!

Amsall, the majority never likes change, but give it time and you'll see them begin to change their mind.

David, I also love the latest Facebook redesign, so much so that I've just tweeted this post :-) Of course we seem to be in a minority, judging from what people are saying on the Facebook site, but what does it matter... The majority is not always right LOL!

I'm not a fan of Facebook at all, I don't like the walled garden approach as much as the open web. It's alright, nothing to write home about. No one puts interesting content into that network like they do in other areas - it is all fluff. There is definitely marketing value and value for brands, but from a content perspective as a tech-addict and avid reader, there's nothing for me there personally.

I do also like the new design and have actually been more active connecting because of it. I try to comment on people's status who I know from Twitter, or from college. I have not separated groups but that is a good idea, to just initiate contact to work on networking.
