Wordpress is an amazing piece of software and will be around for a long time, but by itself it is not actually profitable for anyone. Matt was smart to recognize that to build a business on an open source platform, you had to break away from the actual platform. Automattic makes the money by maximizing what Wordpress can do. Anyone can do the same thing and many do.<br><br>Nice thoughts all around Jason. I agree.
