Very nice article Jason. I work with small business owners teaching them how to leverage the Internet and increase their sales with social media list building. I am always searching for more great information on social media list building because their is always another new angle that is just around the corner and you don’t want to miss it. Again thanks for the great content.
Dennis Hampton

Superb! One of the most tedious and frustrating facets of public relations in the new media era is identifying the best blogs to add to an outreach list.I like your post because what i know is postrank is based on social engagement which refers to how interesting or relevant people have found an item or category to be.Ne ways keep posting such nice information.

how to get him back

I do appreciate all the top blogs lists - that's how I found this site after all :) However, I do think it would be helpful to start including lists like "Top 20 New Blogs" or "Blogs Best Kept Secrets" to help promote less popular, rich-content blogs that not many people know about.

Yes and no, Geoff. The entry of the blog into Postrank's system is
community-based, but the ranking is not dependent upon the community,
but rather the metrics around engagement of that blog. No, the
rankings are not complete without every blog in the world entered into
their system, but the comparison of the blogs is metric-based.

You could probably pick apart their "engagement" score, but it's a
hell of a lot more reliable when comparing blogs than other singular
metrics (inbound links, Delicious bookmarks, Pagerank, etc.)

Thanks for stopping by. Missed you lately. And congrats on the new
company!

PostRank's good but only if the users follow a blog. So it's a community based blog feed, but probably doesn't cover the entire blogosphere as well. Thus the ranks are relevant for PostRank users, not the whole blogosphere.

Yeah, as I pointed out, the wisdom of crowds is sometimes a myth. It's
a damn good start, though and will perhaps force people to take better
care of their tool.
