Business Development Representative – HIRING NOW

Social Media Explorer | SME Digital is looking to fill it’s bench of self-driven organic relationship builders to take SME revenues to the next level. We are looking for business development representatives with 3-5 years agency or marketing software sales experience with a heavy focus on digital marketing solutions. Our business development representatives serve as the first contact with our clients and are the driving force behind SME’s revenue performance. They hold the company’s revenue goals in their hands and propel our team and company forward.

Responsibilities
  • Actively build relationships with Marketing VP, Director and Managers in mid-size and enterprise level companies using social media, events, and other channels as defined.
  • Find and close opportunities that fit with SME’s services and provide valuable solutions for prospects.
  • Follow-up and nurture leads to close.
  • Keep track of all leads, opportunities and closes in Salesforce.
  • Provide pipeline projection and closed deal reports to management with a focus on progress towards goals.
  • Work with account teams and management on defining the scope of work, costs and details for proposals and contracts.
  • Partner with content manager to develop nurturing campaigns in Marketo when appropriate.
  • Draft proposals and contracts for all opportunities.
  • Manage all aspects of business development.
Skills
  • Business development representatives must be comfortable with a consultative selling approach. No hard sells.
  • Business development representatives must have a proven track record for sales success with marketing departments in mid-size and enterprise level companies, preferably in a service industry.
  • Business development representatives should have an in-depth understanding of mid-size and enterprise level company’s budget cycles and proactively reaches out to prospects at the appropriate times.

Project  Manager 

Social Media Explorer | SME Digital is actively looking for a project manager who is process-oriented, naturally curious and agile with 2-3 years of relevant experience. Project managers are the glue that holds SME’s client relationships and internal teams together. They act as the team’s task manager and make sure all client deadlines are met, with attention to detail and a passion for bringing order from chaos.

Responsibilities
  • The Project Manager is a critical role on every client team – who functions as the team’s task master, managing the process of each project from idea through execution.
  • Scheduling tasks within the project management system for internal and external resources on all task-level implementation plans.
  • Removing barriers for employees who are working on client projects to ensure they can meet their deadlines.
  • Managing and creating new relationships with third-party vendors to create a bench of external talent for use in current and future projects as needed.
  • Managing third-party vendor budgets and resources to come in under or at budget on assigned projects.
  • Overseeing all client deadlines to ensure project deliverables are delivered on-time.
  • Creating and evaluating project management methodologies to improve project and team efficiency.
  • Initiate and lead stand-up meetings with the team as needed to review tasks and deadlines.
  • Develop systems, protocols, and templates to improve workflow.

Digital Strategist

Social Media Explorer | SME Digital is looking to build its bench of top notch Digital Strategists. Strategists are primarily responsible for conducting research and building digital marketing strategies for clients. These strategies are a crucial piece of the puzzle that ensures client success. Strategists look at the entire digital marketing landscape for clients and make recommendations to take their business to the next level. Strategists can have a tremendous impact on pushing digital marketing forward and are responsible for turning client projects into leading case studies. They are the experts clients look to for solving tough problems and optimizing success. Strategists are forward thinking. They can help clients build for the future while working within the confines of reality today.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct research during the client on-boarding phase to understand the client’s industry, competition, and brand.
  • Prepare and analyze data for conversation reports that show clients where conversations are happening and what their opportunities are for using social media and digital marketing. Conversation reports are 10-20 pages of data and analysis.
  • Brainstorm, validate and prepare client strategy documents that provide the cross-channel framework for each client’s approach to digital marketing. Strategies are 30-50 pages of recommendations following the Full Frontal ROI methodology for strategy development paired with an implementation road map.
  • Oversee strategy implementation and find opportunities to optimize activities through data analysis.
  • Develop long-standing relationships with clients including participating in client calls at least once a month.
  • Identify opportunities to expand client relationships when it will help clients achieve greater success.

Account Managers serve as the front-line to SME clients and are responsible for driving client success. They hold the client’s torch and are responsible for making sure SME’s services are driving business results.

Responsibilities
  • The Strategic Account Manager is the face of the company to the end-client and serves as the day-to-day contact on assigned client accounts.
  • Responsible for on-going correspondence with clients including attending weekly and ad-hoc client meetings, responding to client emails in a timely fashion, and routing information to other team members and vendors as needed.
  • Developing task-level implementation plans and working with the project manager to develop schedules.
  • Prepare, review, edit, and ensure all client deliverables are ready for client presentation.
  • Owning all client deadlines to ensure project deliverables are delivered on-time.
  • Development of client measurement dashboard, pulling and coordinating client data to meet reporting timeframes, typically weekly or monthly.
