The Challenges of Social Media In The Enterprise

by · July 16, 20122 comments

The larger the organization, the more challenging the business. And certainly, the more challenging the social business and implementation of social media marketing. The solutions offered up by the pundits and software providers and prognosticators out there are all interesting, but often lacking in a critical element: experience in having actually implemented social media in the enterprise. This is why Scott Gulbransen is always insightful to talk to.

Scott is one of our all-star lineup of speakers at Explore Minneapolis Aug. 16-17 at the DoubleTree Park Place. His talk will take the audience through ideas on how to make a stayed brand (think accounting, health care, banking, etc.) sexy as his recent work for H&R Block has with its Stache Act campaign.

But before Explore Minneapolis, I caught up with Scott to dive a little deeper into how he’s attacked incorporating social media marketing and social business at not only H&R Block but his previous stops at Applebee’s, Sony and Intuit.

And apologies for the scratchiness in the audio. New setup. Took me an interview or two to figure it out.

You won’t want to miss the business insights Scott has to give at Explore Minneapolis. He’ll be speaking there, along with an all-star lineup that includes SME Digital’s Nichole Kelly, The Now Revolution co-author Jay Baer, Edison Research’s Tom Webster, Ad Contrarian Bob Hoffman and more. Yes, I’ll also be speaking, as well as hosting. The event will also feature a number of excellent software providers and companies to help you navigate the waters of digital marketing. They’ll bring their knowledge to share as well as their products. This is a must-attend event, so register now!

The two-day event, incredible content, breakfast, lunch and a cocktail reception is $450, but if you’re a member of a professional organization (IABC, PRSA, AMA or similar), ask if they have a discount code for you and save big! Learn more about the speakers, their topics and more at the Explore Minneapolis registration page!
