WebProNews Wraps Up BlogWorldExpo

by · November 17, 2007

Rob May, Todd Earwood and I had the good fortune of participating in an interview by WebProNews to give our thoughts on BlogWorldExpo last week. Since I was occupied and didn’t have a chance to sufficiently write a post wrapping up BWE my own self, and in a sudden fit of vanity, I thought I’d share.

And on a related note, the reporter, Abby Prince, is a fellow Morehead State alumn and radio-television major to boot. She is obviously the interesting one of the set.

Blog World Expo Thursday: Learning, Laughter

by · November 8, 2007

If you look at my “8 Things” post about conferences from last month, you can probably ascertain my cautious optimism on what might be day one (for me) of Blog World Expo. It’s not that I have some arrogance about conference speakers, I just have a hard time computing the fact I want advanced topic information while some sessions are designed for the novice.

Why Networking Socially Beats Social Networking Every Time

by · October 31, 2007

Add friends, send Digg shouts, use the @Twitter function all you want, the real way to grow your blog, business or network of contacts is to pry yourself away from the keyboard, the PDA and interact with other human beings.

MiltonYes, Milton, this mean’s you.

As I ready for Blog World & New Media Expo next week in Las Vegas, I’m compelled to follow good advice and make a list of folks I want to meet, even if it is just for coffee, a cocktail or a handshake and face-to-name connection in the hallway. Even if I do have the advantage of accompanying super blogger Rob May and entrepreneurial whiz Todd Earwood for easy introductions, there are folks I want to connect with that might be scared off by Earwood.
