We’re just six weeks away from the Awareness Exploring Social Media Business Summit and New England is gearing up for an awesome day of learning and networking with some of the premier thinkers and strategists in the digital and social media marketing world. From Jeremiah Owyang’s opening keynote to the closing brand panel, the day promises to deliver great learnings, takeaways and value for those in attendance. We are expecting a sell-out for the Oct. 17 event at the Boston Marriott Burlington, so reserve your spot now.
One of the awesome speakers we’ve got lined up that day is Mike Schneider (or ScheiderMike as he is known on the interwebs) who will be talking about one of his many areas of expertise: Location-based marketing. Mike is the co-author (with Aaron Strout) of the new book Location-Based Marketing For Dummies, which I reviewed last week, along with other titles. He’ll help attendees at the Awareness ESM Business Summit understand how location-based marketing through platforms like Foursquare, Gowalla, Scvnger and Facebook Places (yes, it’s still relevant even if Facebook has re-prioritized it) can drive business and customer engagement.
I caught up with Mike last week via Skype to talk about his book, his talk and more:
Get your seat at the Awareness Exploring Social Media Business Summit now before they run out! Early bird seats are still available at $250 until Sept. 17. Then the price jumps to $300.
The other speakers on the docket that day include opening keynote Jeremiah Owyang, Todd Defren, Laura Fitton, Tim Hayden, DJ Waldow, C.C. Chapman, Ann Handley, Michael Lewis and more. You won’t get that much awesome for that low of a price at one event anywhere.
Oh … I’ll be there and speak, too!
The cost of the event includes breakfast and lunch, lots of door prizes and a one-month trial membership in Exploring Social Media.
Book your seat before they sell out (and yes, due to the limits of the venue we’ve booked, we do anticipate a sell out) and I’ll see you in Boston!
