Unless you live under a rock, or aren’t regularly tuned into what’s happening in the social media space, you know Laura Fitton‘s Twitter-based startup OneForty.com was recently acquired by HubSpot. The move brings a bona fide app store to the “Inbound Marketing” company and adds to their already robust list of killer social media and digital marketing content.
Fitton is on our roster of speakers at the Awareness Exploring Social Media Business Summit in Boston, Mass., on Monday, Oct. 17. Our early bird deadline is THIS SATURDAY, so click through and reserve your seats. The lineup is incredible and the event is worth the trip to Beantown. You’ll learn a lot from Laura, who has been a mainstay in the social media world despite not technically having or running a blog. Her passion for technology and being useful to her audiences on Twitter, Facebook and other networks helped her build not just a recognizable personal brand (@Pistachio) but a company that made it to the acquisition stage.
I caught up with Laura two weeks ago in San Francisco to talk about the acquisition, her upcoming talk at the Awareness Exploring Social Media Business Summit and more:
Get your seat at the Awareness Exploring Social Media Business Summit now before they run out! Early bird seats are only available until Saturday! (Yes, this Saturday!) The cost of the event ($250 early bird) includes breakfast and lunch, lots of door prizes and a one-month trial membership in Exploring Social Media.
The other speakers on the docket that day include opening keynote Jeremiah Owyang, Todd Defren, Tim Hayden, C.C. Chapman, Ann Handley, DJ Waldow, Mike Schneider, Michael Lewis and more. You won’t get that much awesome for that low of a price at one event anywhere.
Oh … I’ll be there and speak, too!
Book your seat before they sell out (and yes, due to the limits of the venue we’ve booked, we do anticipate a sell out) and I’ll see you in Boston!
